SEQ on the 2500

the specs say that the 2000xl files are compatible concerning SEQ, SND, WAV, and PGM. but what if i want to save a bunch of sequences (ALL SEQ i think)...will the 2500read this?

and for those that have the 2500....anyone have success in transferring your 2000xl files to the 2500? i read some other posts and heads said that is wasn't happening..EVEN THOUGH...the specs sasy that it is supposed to read....SEQ, SND, WAV, and PGM....

The threads you are talking about refer to the MPC 2500 not being able to read 2KXL ALL files. There is no mention in the 2500s specs that it reads any of the ALL file types.

Currently, the .akp program files generated by Recycle or the S6000 (among other tools) can not be read by the 2500. This hasn't been promised but would be nice to have. Or an on board option (in addition to patched phrase) that when you select chop sample and create program with samples....give you additional option to generate an accurate MIDI SEQ using the program/samples. This is no urgent request since the Patched Phrase function is in effect..but something to consider.
