Hey MPC2500 users,
I owned an MPC2000XL some years ago. But there were no xtra outputs
or an FX-board in it and Zip-Drive also annoyed me, so i had to sell it.
Now there is this wonderfull machine called MPC2500 and I realize, that I really miss the Pads for drumming, meaning the akai-ones and not the copied shit of M-....
I would like to know something about the Delay of the Effects in the MPC 2500.
1. Is there a Delay in the 2500?
2. Is it temposynced and when, only bpm synced or with other resolution?
3.How does it sound?
...
Thanx for Help.

Yeah, the 2500 has delay. It can be tempo synched or have the delay time set manually. You can control the delay spacing within the tempo synch (so, you can have the delays on 1/32's, 1/8's, 1/4's, etc., or you could set it to be on any of the 96 parts per quarter note). You can set the delay as mono or pan. The pan bounces the delay back and forth between the left and right channels at a width that you specify. You can control the feedback and HF damp of the delay. And you can control the level and pan of the delay.

I think it sounds great. I wish the level could be turned up a little louder, but it will go plenty loud for most applications.

Hope this helps.

Yepp! Thanks Cru.
I played around a hour with the 2500 in a shop here in Berlin, but couldnt figure out anything about the delay. While playing I recognized, its really the hell of a goodloking funk-machine, guess I gotta save my money to get 1.
