Why does My 2500 cut the samples automatically

I loaded the samples from my old 2000 and they play fine from the internal hard drive but once they're loaded and I hit the pad they're cut in half. I have no idea why, any help would be appreciated

The Program that you have your samples assigned to may be set to MONO instead of POLY. When you go to the Program Menu, at the top right, this is a setting for Play, which you can set to MONO or Poly. If it is set to MONO, sounds within the Program will cut eachother off. Set the Play to Poly to correct this.
