Using CF-Card beside HD?

HEY guys,
me once again. I read the posts but didn`t find an awnser for my question.
So, is it possible to use the CF-Card Slot also when you got a HD installed to ya MPC2500?

yes i use both - at the same time.

I use the cf card as a backup - cause i´m a backup freack
But i seam only to be able to connect the hard drive via usb to my mac - not both.. but no problem for me.

The hard drive goes in the same spot that the cd drive does?

I didnt know it was either one or the other

I thought the HD went on the inside and u could still install a cd drive

could someone enlighten the situation

Of course the CD Drive and Harddisk go in different places. And though i'm not able to try it out myself, i am sure you can use both at the same time with no problem at all.

But why go for a CD Drive instead of a Harddisk? You can't save data on the CD, as for now at least. And only to sample sounds off Audio CDs? Do that on your PC.

Naw..get both. The CD drive and the hard drive. Its nice to have a more sel-contained instrument.

As far as USB functions....you have to choose whether you want your PC to see the hard drive or flash card...not both. On the Load/Save menu, select the drive you want to use your PC to see. After you select the drive you want to use, select USB mode, and your PC will see the drive you selected.

No problem. But it will be easier (I believe) to just install a flash card drive in your computer. Than you only need the USB drive for hard drive back ups. Most new computers are adding multi-card drives. You can get them for cheap if your computer doesn't already have one installed.
