how long is 1bar in mpc time?

i often prepare my 1 or 2 bar loops in logic and load the to the mpc for life use - now when i programm the seqences - 4 to 8 bar loops i need to trigger the loops 4 to 8 times. If i trigger them as 1 shot samples programming is easiest - but when you stop the seq you got all those loops still playing. If i trigger them note on its har to play that 8 times for exactly 1 bar - not too short or too long.

Now ok - when i set the length for the loop in seq edit- what is the exact SAMPLE length for 1 and 2 bars? you can´t choose 1 bar, right?
Or how do you handle this?

If you have an MPC 2500, assign these loops to the continuous sample track and the loops will stop playing when you stop the MPCs sequencer.

The tempo of the sample and/or the tempo of the sequencer plays a part in these settings.

yes i know - but can´t i only assign one track to that? I have different loops on different tracks so i can mue/unmute them.

How do you calculate the bar/sample length?

u just gotta count it

one bar can be different lengths depending on how fast or slow u have the tempo set

96ppq x 4=384 ticks per bar. When using note off mode, you can edit the sample length in step edit. Try putting in 384 as note length and it should play for one measure.

Can't you timestretch and set the loop length with the phrase feature?
