Do you feel cheated?

Besides the pop up screen/2 more midi outs/ cd/dvd/rom and lfo's and sliders---What's the diff bet the 1K and 25K now that the 1's OS's been updated. I feel cheated cuz they can do just about everything we can minus a few things. Once the 2500 is updated will there be NEW features not accessible to the 1K users?

I dont feel cheated. The 1000 kinda feels and looks like a toy. I know the new OS is supposed to make this thing like the hott shhyt but... if you really want all you can get out of an MPC, gone and get the 2500. Yeah, it has a few issues but once the update comes, there will be nothin that can come close except for the 4000. And they say that the 4000 is more than you'll ever need. Do you baby!

One would assume if they want to sell more 2500s they are going to put more in there. I expect more and I don't feel cheated.

I will only feel cheated if Akai doesn't release the next OS that will fix the problems I reported months ago.

As far as the MPC 1000, I would never purchase one of those. Compairing the MPC 2500 to the 1000 is like compairing a Lexus to a Camry I had to pick up a Camry because the Lexus was just a little more than I wanted to spend on a car that I would just use to drive to work and back. But I will never compromise when picking my MPC of choice...the 2500!

Stop worrying about the next man w/ the 1k and go make beats and do you.

Them having a new OS doesn't affect your lifestyle in no way.

Naw..man. I went through the growing pains of using cheap 4-track cassette recorders and 8 track MIDI sequencers back in the day. No compromises. My kids get the pleasure of using what the big boys use from the start (no Triton LEs, Pro Tools LE, Cubase LE, Fantom-S, or MPC 2500 LE...1000 )

Its all good but I remember you posting that jr like DTS over the roland something that you can resell if he loses interest and you got my gear for your budget. It all right I`m just messing around a bit. I know you the man on the 2500 thread.

The few times that I bought the kids something entry level..they barely touched it..and just went straight for my gear.

My kids are even MPC fanatics. We were watching Hustle & Flow last night. They got all excited seeing that MPC in the studio....
