mpc 2500 o.s. updates

i sent a e-mail to sean shea at akai asking when are the mpc 2500 o.s. updates are coming out and asked if the update would give the cd-m25 the ability to burn cds or save data but no word from them yet.....

I'm sure sean shea has adjusted his e-mail settings to delete messages that contain the numbers 2500 or letter combination OS in it.

don't bag on Sean. He's helped me out many times.
He takes the heat for things the Japanese did or didn't do.

OS updates. At NAMM I heard there was going to a version 1.1 available in the next couple of weeks. It will add the CD burning and the ability to Group your mutes. It also has the ability to record track mutes and edit them in the sequence edit window.

It will also have the ability to record up to 64 continuous tracks, and have independant 4 band EQ for each every pad.

the anticipation is killing me, i beleive i've burned a o of purp in 3 days!

Recording mutes and 4band eq on each pad sounds very nice, if they throw in the autochromatic function I will run and buy the 2500 instantly...

I'm anxious like all of u but please lets not make this situation into one like the 1000 forum

we would all love the extras but is that OS holding anybody up from making good music

i emailed them too, they said the the new )S is in the works and to keep checking the website.

Fist full of dollaz> you're definatly on point, we should all make music instead of hanging around here... but actually if the 2500 receives the updates I'm looking for I would be able to have the workflow that suits me perfectly. I would be able to work faster than I can do with my 2kxl if the 2500 gets a little better. But for now I'll go into my studio and make some dope beats with what I got

u can work faster with the 2500 without that OS, I sold my 2xl for it and I havent looked back

Sorry for the cruel joke. I was just pissed last night that the MPC 2500 wasn't given an update at NAMM. But from reading what's going on in the MPC 1000 forum with their new OS...I can wait just a few more weeks..no more than that....or I may just go back to my MPC 3000.

I haven't received any inside scoop on whether the MPC 2500 will have more continuous sample tracks or the 4 band EQ for each pad. Again..sorry for the cruel joke...........
