Q-Link Note On bug?

I'm trying this:

1. Assign any pad (ex: A1) to Q1 - change Note On = Filter
2. Same pad, assign Q2 - change Note On = Tune

For some reason, only one of the Q's as assigned works -- not both, and usually the last one you set. (Although this hasn't been consistent in my testing.)

Anybody else replicate this? Or is this a known issue/the way it is?

Is like that with my MPC as well. I guess it's just the way it is. When you change one of the sliders to Realtime, they work side to side again.

Yea I found this too. I was trying Note On: Tune, and Note On: Decay. Only one would work. Also I noticed Slider 1 will not work right away even on Realtime. Quirky.

I don't think this is a bug:

A Note On message in the MPC2500 and the MPC1000 can only have one extra parameter; either Tune, Filter, Layer, Attack or Decay (T/F/L/A/D). It is stored within the Note event.

You can see this in STEP EDIT mode. T is the default value but it can be changed in any of the other ones, but there can be only one of them at the same time.

I'm not sure, but what might happen is that the Qlink Sliders/Knobs are read out serially so they'll overwrite eachother when assigned to the same pad. The Qlink that is read out last 'wins' and gets stored with the Note On message.

Since REAL TIME events are seperate events, these can exist alongside the Note events.
