The physical size of the 2500

yes, but the pads can do letters. Honestly once you have it down you can fly through naming samples, tracks ,sequences, songs folders etc

On the 2500 you can copy and paste names for sequences, programs, samples and folders. This feature is still missing on the Live, so naming, labeling and saving goes faster on the 2500 in some cases.

I like the size of it alot, but the one thing I absolutely hate coming from a 1000 (and pretty much the only thing) is the fact that the letters are much more easy to read on a 1000 than on a 2500. Dark red letters on black is hard to read.
