HD froze up

My HD froze up a few times so im wondering if its struggling to keep track of high number of sample files.

Does any1 know if there is a max number of files allowed per folder under OS 1.1?

you backed up, formatted and reloaded everything after installation like it said in the install guide, right? there were some headaches with this on the 1000, but formatting helped. probably something behind the scenes changed with the filesystem.

yeah man... i backed up & re-formatted after the 1.1 update. No 1 should ever trust their files to unstable OS. Crashes happen i guess. Something must have gotten corrupt in the file hierarchy system on the drive.
