hey whats up everybody? i've had my 2500 for about a month but i've been reading posts on here for a few months. my problem is when i save my programs and sequences they will load fine a couple of times and then all of the sudden it will say FILE NOT FOUND! and only load a few of the samples. at first i thought it was the o.s but i've up-dated it and it is still happening. i can manually load the samples in to the program but it's annoying. i thought i may have seen a post about this awhile ago but i couldn't find it, any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance :o :?:

This will happen if you fill up the RAM. I have a feeling that's what is happening. If you don't want the factory presets to auto load you might look in the manual to turn that off. It'll save memory.

In any case, the same thing was happening to me. I then realized I was filling the memory.

thanks for the reply but i'm not so sure about that because i have installed the 128exm and i don't have that many samples in my programs! is there anything else it could be?

still getting a lot of WRONG FILE errors ...Ive tried everything ....Tonight it did some weird ish....I made 3 programs saved them each on both the Cfcard and HD drive. Then resart to see if they are there and get wrong file error on the first 2 I try to load then the third one loads and all of the samples from the other 2 load with it , so I try to load the others again and they both load. This means DIRECTORY ERRORS .

I've just been very careful. even when I resave now I delete the entire original foder and then save it all over. Havnt had to throw a fit yet but yet I havnt been working on it lately. I guess the glitches with that hard drive is keeping me from working. I gotta stop that ish :x This really ticks me off.

well this really sucks!! i paid almost $3000 cdn for this almost amazing machine. i love the 2500 but this puts a huge dent in my work flow especially cause i have a young child so i barely get any time in the first place now i have to re-create my programs everytime. not to mention the ish i lost. do you guys think it's a glitch with individual machines? because this doesn't happen to everyone right?

it's too bad that the serial numbers can't determine if the unit was manufactured on a monday or a friday. i'm sure you've heard the saying about cars made on a monday or a friday.
but anyway, hopefully you can still return your mpc's because akai's customer service in rhode island is the last place you want to send it for a warranty repair. believe that!
better off sending it in to vst if you cant return it.
