MPC2500 ram & chop shop question

I just sold my MPC1000 today... SHIT! I already miss it, but I will go buy an MPC2500 now. Does the MPC2500 use the same RAM as MPC1000?

And do the chop shop feature chop into stereo?
Because the 1000's new slice feature converts the sliced samples into mono

check the chopshop info in the 2500 manual..
and read up on the new updated os's..

to answer one of your questions, it is the same RAM as the 1000. the box of RAM for the 2500 actually says it's for the 1000! as for the chop shop stereo question, i'm not sure and too lazy to try to find out

chop shop is in mono....u cant chop a stereo sample to be cut up into stereo slices..they will come out mono.....hopfully an update will help this out .....but i donnnnnnnnnno

The 2000XL have a similar slicing feature right? But does that also chop stereo into mono?
