Yeah it works pretty good. Most of the PGM s I've made load with no problems but there has been a couple it's rejected here and there. It's a pretty good work around for Wrong File errors ....Just don't make any changes and save again...HAHAHA

Also, It might assign a bunch of pads(or all) to the same note. You can just go to the program screen and rese the notes though.

i have a mac, but i do not use this software so i can not tell you anything about its downfalls.
one thing to bear in mind is to keep your filenames short and not use any letters that your mpc cannot do on itself (like ยง$% etc.).
the samples must be in 16bit/44.1khz wave format.

Hey guys. The following is for all those who use Blue box on Vista:

If you try to open the help file, you will get an error saying this help file is incompatible with windows.

To fix this problem,

1. Go to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607 and scroll down to where it says Download WinHlp32.exe for Windows Vista and click on the link.

2. The following page will say Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows Vista. Click on the CONTINUE button (your computer will freeze up for a couple of seconds, no worries!).

3. When its done, scroll down to where it says files in this download. If your using Vista 64 bit, download the file that has x64. Otherwise use x86.

4. When its finished, you should now be able to open the help documention that came with bluebox. :D

MPCEditor and Rs-16x works great for my 2000XL.
