hello everyone. im a newbie and i have a small problem. i have been using a borrowed mpc 2000 to program beats for a while and have become addicted. this led me to purchase a 2500. i have plugged up my 2500 to my trinity the same way the 2000 was plugged but when i try to record a sequence using the sounds from the trinity the sound bank changes the instant i press record. can anyone help me? i also have one more question. is there any way i can transfer files that i have saved on a floppy to my 2500? i have some tracks that i made on the 2000 that i would like to resume working on with my 2500.

thanks

DId you upgrade your O.S. first., as for the program change your problem might lie within your msb/lsb settings for each track. for getting your 2000 files to your 2500 you could buy a cheap usb card reader and hook it to your computer put the floppy in the floppy drive and copy the floppy disk to the card then put the card in the 2500 and load it up.

thanx. what are msb/lsb settings? if i use a card reader does the disk have to be formatted so that the computer can readit? i tried to burn the disc to a cd but it didnt let me.

i actually didnt upgrade the os. could that be the problem? i saw all the bugs that people have reported and thought i might be better off waiting for the next update.

I would upgrade your O.S. if I were you, I haven't had any of these problems that most people are posting. the msb/lsb settings are bank select midi parameters.
