I have just had the MPC2500 lock up again, and now it has no sound at all.

I've just found out how to do the factory reset (power up while holding ERASE).

I've also noticed that if you hold the Tap Tempo button during power on this enters a updating BIOS mode. But it says that there is no file to apply, so I presume that you have to put the BIN file somewhere specific - any one know where? And if there is a difference loading the BIN file in this way.

Also, anyone know any other of these engineer type codes?

I think this is only a fallback to be able to load a proper OS into the machine if everything else is **** up and you can't even enter the Load screen. I don't think that it makes any difference loading the OS this way.
