how is the action on your data wheel?

Is it incredibly stiff? I just got my 2500. Im used to the data wheel on the 2000xl, it seemed a little faster. In comparison the 2500 seems stiff to me and I want to make sure I didnt get a dud.

I dont know, maybe im being picky, but It just seems really hard to turn for a data wheel, I cant really one finger it?

let me know

It is more choppy than what I remember of the old 2000 non xl. Then again it seems more solid.

I actually like it much more than the 2000XL's wheel. Allows far more accurate work.

What can happen is, when you open the top cover and take off the wheel, and it is not attached back properly, the cover will press the rim down so it will hardly move after reassembling. But I doubt that is the case with a machine straight out of the box.

Hehe..."to one-finger", that's new in my vocabulary...

yeah I live with my girl and most of the time she is sleeping when I make beats .. HAHAH she had it easy with my mpc2000 data wheel ....NOW ITS CLICKING torture hahahhah life is funny somtimes.... I have no idea why the fcuk people would change up the mpc2000 wheel with the outter ring that was used like the shift and the arrow in trim to change places on the numbers.....now we have a space wheel ...but I v learned to manage

your paint will come off the wheel where your finger is eventually aswell ...another smart akai thought!
