Is it actually possible to program a song in Song mode and use track mute/unmute like in Sequences?

Being in Song mode i obviously dont have the mute screen - but if i select the sequence that i want to mess about with - i go into sequence mode...

Or did i miss something?

The thing is i want to have programmed songs with parts that repeat untill i hit NEXT - during the repeating parts i want to mute/unmute tracks untill i feel the song needs to progress to the next sequence...

possible?

Thanks for reading :-)

I don't think you can do it that way.

I just make a copy of the main sequences and name them in order, V1, V2, V3 etc Then set the track mutes i want for each one individually.

Then in song mode just make sure they're in the order you want with the number of repetitions etc.

Don't forget, when you convert the song to a sequence you need to scroll one of the options to 'ignore muted tracks' or something similar. Otherwise it won't record the mutes

Yes, I think Song Mode just isn't made for live performance. You'd have to stick with the Track Mute and Next Seq screens, having your sequences layed out intelligently like Spirez said.

ok thanks - good to know that it doesn´t work that way....

Well the way you suggest is a way to go if you reload after each song - but when you want to have 6-10 songs in memory - it really gets messy - maybe i´ll have to use the speerst outs moe and mute on the mixer during performances...

Akai if you listen: please make track mute in songmode possible
