When each sample Cuts off the Other? (free def jam cds)

when i build a program and start to sequence, as soon as the samples
overlap, it feels like they cut each other off/drown each other out

i know all samples should probably not be at 100% volume
(which i have adjusted but i am still not satisfied with the results)

any pointers to help create the seperation that each part/sample needs
would be much appreciated.

Did you make sure that your program is set to "Poly" in the Params section in the upper right corner? If it is set to Mono each sample in the program will cut the others off.

Also, what kind of program are you trying to use? A chopped drum loop? Single drum samples on each Pad?

Its your program settings.

You must have your samples assigned to the same mute group..which will do exactly what you mentioned above.

Changing your program setting from Mono to Poly may help as well.

if you wanna do it real easy n quick, when you chop your samples, go to convert, then convert to sliced samples, and select create new program: YES and it will create your program in order and with the properties to auto cut out last sample when another one is pressed.
