MPC TAP TEMPO

Hey guys I just got my 2500...used to have a 1000....After getting the 2500, I like the look and feel of it. My only issue is one of the functions I used to use is no longer working.

During the recording of a beat, I used to setup my tc 1/16 (or whatever) and then hold shift and tap/tempo with a pad to get the repetitive on time high hats etc..

This is no longer working. Is there another way as opposed to manually doing this?

Sorry if I didn't explain the buttons right, Im not in front of my MPC right now.

use shift + note repeat ...
you can change the timing at all time...

I am finding that if TC is set to say 1/16, I can't use note repeat higher than 1/16. If I try and set note repeat to 1/32 and hit a pad, nothing happens. Change it to 1/16 and the pad plays ... Is this becase is 'TC' is retricting it to 1/16th notes ?

I am finding that if TC is set to say 1/16, I can't use note repeat higher than 1/16. If I try and set note repeat to 1/32 and hit a pad, nothing happens. Change it to 1/16 and the pad plays ... Is this becase is 'TC' is retricting it to 1/16th notes ?


should be a bug. i experienced the same problem after installing the new OS.
i just checked it again now and everything is fine!!! i know i did a factory reset 2 days ago. maybe that helps. ( turn on mpc while pressing the erase button.)

I worked it out, the issue is TC, make sure swing is on 50% - and you can use all note repeat values.
