How do u miss such a thing?

Just wondering what the process is when akai puts research into producing a new os......and who is testing the products to ensure whats comming out is not full of errors.....just makes no sence to me how they can release somthing with more features with out perfecting old ones aswell as not tending to the major problems like recording hi and low keys .....aswell as fukking up the note repeat button when ....it was fine on the previous os

I wish akai had more of a relationship with their customers to insure the buyer is happy with their purchace aswell as making updates that we can actually relate to ....


no one on this board asked for a new grid edit view..... but who is really reading this anyway

i'm guessing you've never done any software programming cause if you did you would know the smallest thing (such as a semicolon in the wrong place) could have a huge effect on a whole program. Most software is never fully bug free. It takes time to hammer out all the bumps so you have to live with it till there done. They're human just like us.

exactly its just typical software programming

Exactly why I WITHDREW from 3 college classes (all computer/computer programming related) and had to pay the government back $1400 in tuition fees

I understand the codeing is very intence...... but the screening process after isnt.....people on this forum found bugs with in the first 20 mins of using the new o.s....is their a screening process?

I spoke to John from Akai, and he stated, " Akai rushed the latest OS". I guess the company is setting deadlines for their programmers. He said to email the problem of the OS to Akai support or his personal email and he will forward the info.

They probably knew it had bugs, but they rushed the new OS. The 4000 had plenty bugs in the beginning. Plus, Akai is using new techs! They fired the orginial techs. One day, one day! There will be a OS to fix'em all!

Gotta agree with Sav. This thing should have been checked through more thoroughly before release. To still have that midi keyboard not bug is rediculous after that was probably the main problem with the last update.

They probably tested it with an M-Audio 2 octave oxygen board

The note repeat bug i dont see as a problem personally

a. because i dont really use it
b. because it acts normally when recording anyway

My note repeat works. its a shame that they rushed this. They should keep in mind that we depend on these products and dont need half a$$ o.s. updates.

maybe they just wanted to shut up as many complaints as possible by giving an OS to hold everybody over until the next

becuz if they didnt release 1.2 when they did everyone would be complaining that the update is TAKING TOO LONG

it seems like a lose lose situation
