I want to make my MPC the MASTER so ProTools is a slave to it. I set it up so it controls protools but can't figure out how to make it so the tempo in protools honors the tempon of the MPC 2500. Can anyone help?

Hey been try'n the same thing! You can slave tools with MTC to start wen the mpc dose but i think you have to set the tempo's seperatly! This shouldn't be an issue if you going to track vocals and recorded instruments. The problems start wen you want to use soft synths! there might be a way, but I'll have to look into it! lemme know if you find a solution

trybtek is right.

You can use MTC to control Pro-Tools, but Midi Time Code does NOT convey tempo information.

Just manually set the tempo in ProTools to match the tempo in your MPC project, and all will be fine.
