Quick Quick MIDI Question...PLEASE HELP!!!

OK, so I already watched the video that Sparq made and I just have a quick question. I'm trying to use Reason as a sound module and I was just wondering how many MIDI cables I need and where they exactly go. I have one coming out of my Oxygen 8 keyboard and where does that go? In the MPC2500 in or out? And do I need one going in and out of my MPC or just one going in.

Am I going to need a MIDI interface for my computer?

"oxygene midi out" to " mpc midi in"
"mpc midiout a" to "computers midi interface in"

you play notes on your keyboard, which are recorded by mpc and send to your computer/reason.

i think your oxygen keyboard is a midi usb interface but im not shure.
if so ,hook oxy usb to computer and connect the midiout from mpc to oxygene midi in.

MPC MIDI out to MIDI in on computer?

There is no MIDI in on the oxygen 8. Just Midi out.

Maybe the douche bags at Guitar Center will be able to help me out.

Oxygen midi out to MPC midi in
Oxygen USB to computer
MPC midi out to computer interface midi in

This is the exact setup i've got with a different board and it works fine

AHHHHH!!!! Someone PLEASE help me out here. Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

I am trying to do EXACTLY what Sparq did in his video.

I have the midi out of my Oxygen 8 going to the in of my 2500.

I have the out of my 2500 going to my MIDI module on my laptop.

It is allowing me to play reason and record MIDI while using my MPC pads, but when I use my Oxygen 8, it comes out all **** up.

Also, if you use an external sound module like Reason, will you here the sounds in your MPC or will it just play them out of my computer?

Ok, I have a question about a possible solution. If I were to just record the bass sounds off of Reason and into my MPC in the record mode, would I lose quality compared to recording the bass through MIDI?

I may just do that if I don't loose too much quality. What do you guys think?
