turntable and mpc 2500

all right my question is i have a new turntable and want to hook it up to my mpc 2500 what equipment would need to hook them together,i was thinking an amp or something

mixer with a phono in, or a phono/line converter.

You don't need a dj mixer but you do need a phono preamp which is in every dj mixer. Regular mixing boards don't have them. Some home amplifiers have them.

Turntables themselves do not have amplifiers, unlike cd players and tape decks. I recommend building one yourself
