If you read the fine print you will see it's only for people who purchase a 2500

between 6/1/06 and 7/31/06 :(

It looks like from the fine print that it is in the states only...a bit harsh that!

They did that with the 1000 as well about one year ago.

yeah it's only for buying a new one in the 2 months from now until July 31st but I'll be getting one in that period so that's cool!! Except 12-16 weeks to get the memory...I don't know if I can wait that long to work on music though so you think I could sell the brand new memory when I get it on ebay or something? 12-16 weeks?? That's a LONG time to go without making music....

You don't NEED 128 mb to make music.

Just buy third party ram for a 5th of the price then stick the Akai RAM on ebay when you get it.

16mb can go a long way though

By drumnbassguy Sun Jun 04, 2006 4:28 pm
yeah but why but a $1600 piece of gear and throw in generic RAM??

Just giving you another option, the Akai ram is made by someone else anyway, Hynix i think.

I've got the Akai in mine cuz i got it cheap

http://1226354.estore.networksolutionsd ... eFront.bok

u get the EXM 128 mem expansion along with a CDM 25 and hard drive...when i get the cash i plan to get it from here, but if there's some catch with this site like they sell maxed out used or defected mpc 2500, then please let me know...but by the looks of it this deal looks as good as it gets

I wonder if I could ask American Music Supply to send me a new copy of the receipt.
