MPC Is Fixed!!!!

I dont normally post here, just lurk and stuff but I have to post as I have just got my mpc fixed and installed os1.20.

The KS Rack is a better synth than I expected actually.

Its probably the only VA I'll ever have aside for the micro, and maybe a Modular G2.

Very quick to make some nice, solid bass patches.
Modulation options are a little sparse but the essentials are there.

Main thing is the speed and efficiency for making patches, that`s why I brought it initially.

Pretty good for fx and stuff aswell.

Wouldnt mind a true analogue for bass though.

I used to have a Waldorf pulse which was nice but a little too overpowering and abbrassive.

I'm thinking of either the SE-1X or Maybe a moog voyager rack.

Also wish I had brought a 32 channel mixer.

I have 16 channels at the moment and need more

Yep, desk was home made in around 4 hours with 2 big sheets of mdf
Only problem is it's in our bedroom and pretty much dominates the room.

I used a program called sketchup to design the desk.
the three boxes for the monitor and speakers arn't fastened down so if I need to update the desk in future I can keep the base unit and just modify the top half

Only thing Ill have to cut again will be where the keyboard goes as I`m gettin ready for a new one.

The whole thing cost me £50.00, including all the screws, which has got to be better than paying £400-£500 (which could be spent on some proper monitors).

sketchup is great isn't it? i just made my own computer/music gear desk too! much better than buying one imho like you said.

Yep, if I had a spare room or garage then I think I would build something a little bigger.
Thats the best thing though with sketchup.
You design you desk or whatever then you can get the exact measurments for each part

Makes it much easier to build

both the keyboard/mouse desk and the computer shelf slide out on runners. all solid pine.
