im starting to get sick of this.

I have to believe that not all MPC 2500's are experiecing this many problems. Mine hasn't messed up on me even once.

Same here, no probs at all.

It must be pretty hard lookin' for something that isn't happening on all MPC2500s

My MPC works like a dream, no probs at all.

For those who haven't had any problems Keep doin what you do.

A piece of advice use this thread to report what you find wrong with O.S. 1.21

I feel you Shaman. I've had a lot of problems with my unit as well.

also as of late, this board has had a lot of posts by Akai employees trying to hush a lot of the bad publicity this forum is giving the 2500. Just saying.

Make sure you are saving "entire memory" to a designated sub forder when you save a beat. this will recall all samples, sequences, programs and settings...usually.

also: Purge what you do not want to save FIRST. This will save time and memory.

keep you OS 1.0 and 2.1 on your FC and just reboot it takes 2 mins. save your work every 15mins that all. stop your bitchin yall starting to sound like the 1000 forum.

sheeit, this forum is way worse than the 1000 forums

the system test happened to me about 2 weeks ago
and I didnt have the os file on my cf, so I had to take my card to a friend who has a 1000
and put the file in the card. I waited like 2 days to fix it because we couldnt meet the same day. yesterday, it happens again. i wasn t aware that this could happen again so i had formated my card(i have only 32 mb so everytime i make a beat i copy to a folder in the pc and format it) so Iwait again till i can go to his place. I went today, and we copied the file to the cf. I come home, try to load os andit doesnt work. I saved mpc v1.0 so that this won t happen again, but it apparently doesnt accept latter versions.
anyway this is not my fault. I payed alot of money for this machine, and this wasn t supposed to happen.
so don't say i am bitchin.

you got a 1k os and put that on a 2500?

Dont be stupid! He put the 2500 OS on the card using the 1000 via USB
