2500 as slave with the axiom 25 as master

Ive read the manual (it stinks) Im wondering is it possible to have the axiom trigger sounds within the mp? If so how is it done? Im still very much new to the world of midi. Please speak to me like a 3 yr. old. I know the midi cable goes from the out of the axiom to the in of the mp aside from that I'm completely lost. Ive searched on the forum using search terms like "midi" "controller" "keyboard" etc. and Haven't found anything that clearly answers my question.

Have you done both of those connections? You should be able to hit the keys and the sounds on your mpc should play on the keys.

I dont own the mpc2500 but that shoud be correct inless u have to make some MIDI settings inside of the machine.
