I bought it brand new in the box, got a CD drive for it (CM25), got the EX128 Memory Card for it, bought a seagate 100gb 2.5 harddrive for it, Updated the OS to 1.21... even installed 1.2

Can anyone tell me why my 2500 keep restarting everytime I open a song or push mode then a pad (13-16),Ill start working press mode and a pad then the screen goes blank and goes to the boot srceen everytime or I'll load some my MPC 4000 PGMs it will load all the samples and then the screen goes blank and goes to the boot srceen.

Anybody have any thoughts please help!!!

Maybe its the OS
Maybe it the HardDrive (not compatiable)
Maybe its Defective[/code]

4 reals..... that sucks. i would try and call tech support if you cant try anything else out.... some times mpc's can be your best friend and sometimes they can be pains in the asses!!! but ya just gotta work with them... well really dude idk what more advice i can give you because until this happens to me then i can give you more advice but keep trying to do whatever other ppl post..
PS: hey by any chance did the pereson thast sold you the cd drive for the mpc 2500 tell you that it can burn cd's directly from the mpc? cuz most dealerships say that but its not true!!! i wasted 200$ on that peice of crud!! i can only load samples and other songs to make samples with the cd drive.. i think a dj turntable with the hook ups in the back would of been better,.... holla at me!///

hit me up!

probably you and the salespersons you know didn´t read the manual properly, or read the wrong manual...
the mpc 2500 can burn audio cd since os 1.1!

the cd-m25 is also not only a cd drive but can read data dvd aswell.
