Hey what's up forum, I haven't posted on here in a minute because I sold my MPC 2000xl a year ago, but the good news is that I will be getting a 2500 in the next day or so!!

My question is, can you guys recommend an online vendor where I can email them for a price that is to low to list on the net pubicly, for the purpose of price matching at my local GC or Sam Ash! I am not trying to pay $1999.99 for the 2500, when I've heard them going for as low as $1500.00

The reason why I want to price match locally and not buy directly from online, is that I am a very impatient person, and also UPS and Fed Ex be leaving equipment on your porch, and I am not trying to get got, if you know what I mean!!

Thaks for any replies...

You don't have to pay $1999 at GC (who can sell it to you for much less if you ask nicely) when you can pay $2099 for a maxed out 2500 from VST. See the link above. You can call them to see what type of deal they can give you for a stock model.

VST is advertising the maxed out model for $2099 so maybe you can use that to talk GC down for a stock model. No way should they try to sell you a stock model for $1999 when a maxed out model is just $100 more.

I wouldn't pay more that $1700 for a new MPC 2500. You can also try Alto Music. They ship very fast..and safely.

I will get my talk game up, but I went into my local Sam Ash/GC hear in Tampa and they were pretty firm, they said that they could let the floor model go for that, and I told them yeah right, I am not paying $1600 for a 2500 that I see cats coming in there abusing!!!

I will walk in there tomorow with $1600 in cash no more no less and lay it on the counter and see it they come off that 2500 if not, I will just purchase it off line!

Just curious Jarohme, do you know what kind of commision those cats get off of the MPC's? :o

I don't honestly know. But if Alto was/is selling them for $1600-$1700 without hastling you...my guess is that they are still making a decent amount of money off of them.

i'm on the same page as you man...looking for a brand new 25k for around $1500-$1600....i haven't checked my local Guitar Center so i'm hoping they have some for around the $1600 range...on the Guitar Center site they go for the retail price at $1999 so i hope the stores prices are much lower

Guitar Center in El Cerritto, CA was about to let a new MPC2500 for $1600 out the door. That's including tax and everything! too bad I didnt have the cash on me that day. I just bought a used one off of ebay for $1000. There's a 20% off coupon at GC that is ending tomorrow June 29.

20% off of $2000 = $1600 (+tax of course). but they could hook you up!

There are several MPC 2500s on eBay for just over $1050.
