Yup, you guessed it.......another midi question!!!

So now that I have OS 1.21 it will record midi notes fine, but will not sync...........Is this the trade off...............now I can't sync????

I remember hearing somthing about this in a post,I did a search but found nothing.Can anyone help me here???

as far as i remember midiclock is working but miditimecode(MTC) isn´t.

With OS 1.21, you can get the MPC 2500 to act as an MTC master but not a slave. MIDI clock seems to be working fine as well as MMC.

Ok thanks jahrome and poschec.I figured it out..........my track recorder doesn't sync mtc or midi clock supplied by an external device. It has a rhythm section that can be played using midi
but it will not sync..............what a bummer!!!!!

I have mpc slaved to motif es (MTC) running os 1.21 and it's working fine here, it wouldnt work after first upgrade from 1.20 so I rolled back and forth few times

That is amazing since no one else got the MPC to slave via MTC (OS 1.21) and Akai has confirmed this bug.

My midi clock works in slave mode also, I have been debating running it as the slave.So I can co-sign on the fact that slave mode is working on my 2500.

MIDI Clock and MMC should work fine. Turn them both off and use only MTC. The 2500 doesn't work as an MTC slave.
