Serious MIDI Problem on the 2500

hey fam,
ive read the manuals and ive done some research but i cant get my setup to work... ive got a USB MIDI plug ive got the midi in going into the midi keyboard, the midi out going into the mpc and he usb going into the usb drive on the computer, how can i get it working to where I can play sounds from reason/fl/vst's into my mpc? a step by step tutorial would be great.

MIDI OUT of the keyboard to the MIDI IN of the MPC...MIDI OUTA of MPC to MIDI IN of your MIDI interface connected to your computer.

Assign MIDI channel 1A to track one. You should be able to trigger Reason as long as you have Reason's MIDI set-up correctly

And remember...the USB connector on the MPC is not for MIDI!

There's your problem. Plug that out, and run it solely through MIDI, powered by an external adaptor.
