Editing sequences :-(

For some strange reason I can't copy a track from the source sequence to another track. I do everything just like the manual says. All I am getting on the destination track is a little bit of a track that I didn't want to copy. Is there any possible way that I am doing something wrong? Is this maybe a bug?

I feel really stupid....................after trying to figure it out for about 45 min I post a question........then get back on and figure out the problem.I didn't change the program..............sorry guys
