Yo anybody know how to get the zip disk with files from da 2000 transfered to a cd or a way to get them on the 2500.
I got a USB zip to and is reading the files on da PC (XP), but the PC only reads the 1st part of the zip (zips were formatted in parts, part A-J).
That's my main issue getting to see all parts on the zip so I can copy them to a CD then on to the computer and pull the files in the computer.
ANYBODY knows how I can get the files over? Please, any help?

Ive had probs gettin my PC to read any zip that was formatted in the MPC2000xl.. Likewise for some reason my 2000xl didnt like zips formatted in the PC..

I found the only way to transfer files to the PC and then on to my new 2500 was to go buy a brand new PC formatted Zip Disk - not format it on either & then they work fine in both the 2000xl & the PC!?

If that fails why not just copy stuff from partition A to the PC. Then wipe part A, then on the 2000 copy stuff from Part B to Part A & transfer that to PC. .. and so on until you've done the whole disk? A bit risky though unless u got plenty of backups.

Oh, so the other parts showed when you erase part A and so on? if so i'll try that risk way.
In that case how do you go about copying/backing up a whole zip disk?

No, I think he meant copying your beats to partition A on your MPC.

Oh ok I see. bur is there anyway familiar way of getting all partition to show up on the PC? THat one might know about? Man that method mentioned is risky. lol.
If not I'll do it that way, but it's gonna be time consuming.

tranfering files from ur mpcxl to a 2500 is a big pain.first ull have to drop it on ur pc,so u have to make sure that the zip disk u use on ur mpc are not partitioned or ur pc will not recognize it.the only program that recognizes it is called translator pro.u can find it at chickensystems.com,but u really dont need it.it is $149,dont bother.Next u will have to drop ur pgm files on your pc.it has to be PGM files cuz the pc wont see APS. files .once u have them in pgm files u can now drop it on ur pc and u will also be able to see ALL. files. So bisically the easy way to do it is to get a fresh zip disk, make sure you dont partition it.save ur files in PGM format not APS.and save ur ALL. files too.then drop it on ur zipdrive on ur pc and just tranfer them over.then transfer from ur pc to ur 2500.there u goany questions holla at [email protected] bin through it all when it comes to Akia products

hey good looking man, but my problem is that I have a bunch of zip disk that's already partition and want to get them over to the 2500. BT I'm using the original 2000, not XL. So it seems like chicken system will be the only way to go? Tried emailing ya, couldnt go thru.

once u can save ur programs on an unpartitioned disk in PGM files and not APS,ur pc will see it.doesnt matter if its the original 2000.what i had to do is take 1 zip disk and do my programs one bye one.its a long process but its worth it.one more thing i forgot to add earlier is dat if u have files in ur program that has spaces in the name(EXAMPLE) Hhat_1 and HHat_12,u will have to get rid of the space in any file name and make it HHat1 and HHat12 and so on,i had a prob tranferring it to my pc when i was getting it of my zip disk.try it though it might of just bin my pc had multiple files like Marvin1 and marvin2 all the way to like 30 cuz i chopper in little pieces, but if u dont do that ur fine.hit me up at [email protected] i know that one works.
