Who LIKES the green screen??

After a month or two of drooling over the new MPC I think I am starting to like the green screen on the 2500...like when you guys have pics of it in the dark and there's this bright green-laser-kind-of-nightclub-vibe to the screen that is kinda cool looking...I know there's alot of haters out there but who here EMBRACES the GREEN???

honestly I dont give a shit....to me it's a tool. Didnt buy the mpc for it looks but for what it's capable of as a sampler/drum machine and the feel of it. As long as I can see what's on the screen it's all gravy.

I liked the XL's lcd better, it was nice and bright. It contrasted well, too.

Yes okay...a white like on the XL would be sexier. But I can imagine that is also an older technology, more likely to failures. The older blue S3000 screens also tend to loose brightness after a while because of the way they are illuminated. Development in that section has been rapid in the last few years, as all of you know who are sitting in front of an LCD screen. So I think Akai just chose what promised to be most reliable for a decent price.

And like koncept already said, as long as it shows you what it should, it's ok. I like that it is much larger than the XLs screen by the way.

I like the green. It's easy on the eyes. More importantly I'm glad it tilts and is much bigger than the old 2000.

I have to agree with Stilo. I think this screen will last longer. I'm sure it doesn't give off as much heat as a blue or white one.

Can't you replace it? A lot of these times these LCD's are industry standard...I once replaced the broken LCD of my ageing Casio CZ101 with a brand new (backlit!) LCD I got in an electronics store.

Im sure they are going to make replacements for it ...

I trhought it was more yellow than green *shrug*

Whatever, colour makes no odds to me as long as it works properly, which the screen does.

It reminds me of my old Apple IIe. So I like it.

I fkn HATE the green screen. I wish it were blue or red. The green causes major stress on the eyes. I wish it were red or blue... Red is the best on the eyes. It was my understanding that most of these LCDs are green because they are the cheapest.
