I just wanna clear this up before I go screwing things up. I have a bunch of unused samples that have saved after I go Save Entire Memory. Now I want to delete them. When I tried this I went to one of my programs and I hit purge. It said that there were 16 unused sample so I hit Do It to delete the samples. Then I resaved and the next time I loaded the song, everything got messed up. Do I have to Purge before I save for it to work? Or did I just do something wrong?

thanks

when you purge samples it delets ALL samples not used in ONE of the programs loaded up. say you load a program but u dont use it so u wanna free ur memory.

delete that program. (select it then hit window then delete)

then purge.

did u overwrite the original folder?
i experienced problems with overwriting.
now i always save as described below:

create a new folder after purging and save
the entire memory to the new folder.
after that load the project to check it and if it works delete
the original folder where the unused samples are.

Man.........saving on this thing can be such a hassle untill you get to know the machine. Originally I don't think this was the process that was intened by akai, but this should definitely solve your problem.Always create a new folder when saving.erase old and unwanted folders.
