MIDI with MOOG VOYAGER/MPC 2500

Greetings...Anyone know how the hell this works...i have the mpc triggering the moog pefect(midi in/out) yet it does not record all the events.. I am thinking just to sample the sounds straight out of the voyager(L/R out into mpc sample in) then by using MIDI...anyone have any ideas...much thanks

which events are not recorded?
a problem might be the touchpad but i dont use it very often.

it seems that the voyager sends more data than other synths do.
i was thinking about getting a midi filter because i want to filter unused data
like aftertouch while i record midi to mpc.

also have a look at the midisettings of the voyager.
press "master" and look for midi running status and for modwheel settings.
you could change the values and see if it works better.
for me it works so far. i can do a simple bassline with modulated cutoff
or/and filterspacing recorded without any problems.
but if i record more than 4 knobmovements to mpc, the mpc seems
to get too much input and the timing gets worse.

wierd...the touch pad has yet to function for me as a recording on midi time code...but yet i have done more then 4 knob tweek recordings and done even 2 at a time and never had a problem or sound that i didnt do....the touch pad is soooo much fun but i cant get it 2 work...ill play with the master pref. on the voyager see what happens....what moog do you have poshec and what hardware os are you on??....much thanks

i just got it working.

there is an internal routing of the t.s. destinations which is useless
if you want to record them as events.

go to the screen where you can configure the destination of X,Y and A.
then turn the amount to ff.
in the same window you have to type in the right midicontrol no. of the knob that you want to be the dest.. so if you for example want to control the cutoff with the x-amount enter 19.
to get to know the midi numbers of other knobs you can look in the manual or put the mpc in stepedit mode and press overdub (playback NOT running).
now turn a knob and you´ll see the midinumber with the changing value from 0 to 127 in the step edit list. in that list you can see every event coming from the voyager. thats good to check that u have assigned everything the right way. make sure that the gate function of the pad has no number assigned or if you only want to use x and y and not A that the midicc no. of A is set to off.
