Stuck Note

When I send midi data form the 2500 to a synth. Sometimes, a note would freeze after play back. When this happens, I would turn the unit off to stop the frozen note. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this?

You probabaly have a midi loop.

Dog, b4 you buy 8 grand worth of synths, do a little homework.

I didn't have this problem with the 4000. So I know it ain't the synth. Thanks for your first reply, but if anyone doesn't want to help me please leave out the smartass comments.

Honestly, i was not being a smartass, this is midi 101. Did you try to research it for yourself?? Still couldn't come up with anything?? Fine...

Specify the midi tracks and ports you are using in the main window (track 1 A for the evo, track 1 B for the moog, etc.) Set the corresponding midi channal on the synth's midi recieve. If you have any of the synths midi outs going into the mpc, turn soft thru OFF in the midi/ sync window.

That's 1 possible scenario.

There's like a million variables in that setup that could be causing a midi loop.
Describe how everything is connected, setings, etc. then somebody will be able to help you.

Lighten up..I was just poking fun at King V for his recent bandwagon jumping onto JJ who haven't completed an OS yet but getting alot of hype.

As recent as jj has made his presence known, i have been in support of what he is doing.

Good for you. But why would I be impressed with an OS that is riddled with bugs. When the OS is released without problems....than that is another story.

Next thing you know....JJ will be creating their own version of the MPC

Okay, now I know what a midi loop is. Actually, I have contacted akai, but haven't received a response yet. So, I figured I ask the forum. The voyager is connected to the midi thru from the triton studio. The MPC is connected to the Triton's midi input. Monster midi cables are used in both connections. I use midi out port A, I also tried C, and I get the same result. One note always get struck!

Whatever company fixes all the MPC bugs, wins my vote!

What MPC bugs are you talking about? Too many throw the word around only to find out it is user error.

I would try disconnecting the Triton and use the MPC only with the Voyager to see if you have the same issues. Korg Triton's MIDI capabilities are not that great.
