Anyone have a problem with their Mac not seeing the CF card in the 2500?

I'm using the factory card and it worked fine until I formatted it. Why won't the Mac see the empty card?

OS X 10.4.7
PPC G5 2.0 Ghz Dual

I have tried power cycling both the mac and the 2500.

I have hit the 'mount' button repeatedly in 'Load' page.

I have tried unplugging/replugging the USB cable.

I have tried different usb cables and different usb ports on the mac.

Anyone?

try reseting the mpc . check your manual on how to do it . format the card and try again if no luck buy a card reader they are cheap.
i too had the same problem it worked after i reset

Yeah, I had the same problem with my digital camera and I got a reader for that. Guess I'll go upstairs and grab it. You'd think for $2000, the usb implementation would be more solid.

You did format it using the 2500 and not the MAC right?

Yup, I did format it on the mpc. Should I have formatted on the mac?

no u shud do it on the MPC.

i dont know macs too well - but if you plug in USB cable does the MAC tell you there is a device available as a drive or whatever?

If I power down the mpc for 5 minutes and then turn it on, the Mac sees the card as well as the HD I just installed today. There's still some funny business with drag n drop - sometimes the mac just crashes. I'ma go get a high quality USB cable and see if that makes a difference. I think the fit in the mac port is kinda loose and that may be the whole deal. We'll see....

curious, perhaps try formatting the card again?

otherwise i'd troubleshoot the Mac's logs to see if there is any explaination of crash.
