heres my problem.
i used to own the mpcc 2000 and when i hooked up my keyboard to it and played a mel(with the sounds that are preset on the keys) and recorded with the mpc it would record the mel and play it back but only through the speakers on the keyboard. it did this without me having to sync them but now i own the 2500 and when i try to record with my keys there is no play back.and when i do try to record the tempo change on its own to a very fast speed.
i have set the channels to midi and the correct channel such as 1a and it is not playing back can anyone help??

This sounds like one of those problems that has been discussed in several 2500 bugs threads. SOUNDS like, I don't know if it is or not.

I am not sure what you are really trying to say..but it sounds like you are trying to do the most basic MPC feature:Record and playback of an external MIDI keyboard. You really should read the first 2-3 chapters in the MPC manual.

1. Next, make sure that your MPC and keyboard (what keyboard are you using?) are connected properly. MIDI OUT of your keyboard to MIDI IN1 of the MPC.....MIDI OUTA of the MPC to the MIDI IN of your keyboard.

2. If you want to hear the MPC and the keyboard, you have options:
A. Connect the audio outs of your MPC and keyboard to an external mixer.
B. Connect the keyboards audio outs to the audio inputs of the MPC 2500 and use the MPCs INPUT THRU feature.

Doing the above should get you on the right path.
