Volume issues

First off im a XL user that just got the 2500 and still getting use to the change.

1. Anyway i have seem to notice that when i load up a XL drum kit all the drums are distorted on the MPC 2500, where as on the XL there perfect with no volume adjustments ?


2. When im editing a loop even know the sample sounds correct in the main screen in the loop/edit screen its distorted why is there volume differences ?

3. What setting with enable default 0- DB on the MPC 2500 so i can edit my drums in Sound Forge and have that same DB on the MPC ?

Check all settings in Programs Mode, Velocities, Master Output level etc. Maybe you adjusted the samples on the XL with a low output dB setting, while the 2500 has a higher one.

I mean if i edit a snare drum sample on Sound Forge to peak at -1 DB or just below clipping, then load that very sample on the MPC 2500 it will distort with all the default volume settings. So what settings to i change to lower that default volume ?

anybody ?
