I was told that the new O.S. will allow you to KeyMap. Does anyone know if this is true?

Its not possible with the current OS 1.22.

I thought KeyMapping was autochromatic or midi key mapping. Can someone explain what this key mapping is?

The 2500 does have autochromatic assignment of a sample. This is slightly different then a full fledge sampler's ability to keymap samples across the range of a keyboard.

The Z4, Z8 & mpc 4k are the only units capable of the keygroup feature.

Most of Akai's S series samplers also have this function.

Now is this keygrouping, something I probably understand better, like in Kontakt? You can choose the keys for each sample?
