This happens sporadically to me, I turn power on..get the 128M Installed screen and it just stays on that screen, won't boot up ...SO I decided to enter a Welcome Message thinking maybe that would help but it still does it from time to time...on average its about every 3 or 4th power up...I have to turn teh power off and turn it on again and usually it boots up fine.
The MPC is only about 4 weeks old and I was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them?
cheers

Do you have a harddrive installed? If so, try to pull it out and install it back in again. Also, you can try to re-format it if you formatted it while still on the first OS. But make sure to backup your data first...

Not mine. Haven't had any problems yet(knocking on wood). I've had it for 2 weeks. How did you get to enter a welcome message if your MPC won't boot up?

cheers for the respons...OK to clarify..I have no hard drive installed and as I stated earlier it does it every 3 or 4 times I turn it on NOT everytime so on teh occasions where it did boot up I went thru teh steps to enter the welcome note...I might try using another flash card see how that goes cause teh one I'm using is my old one outta my MPC1000...cheers

Maybe try reinstalling the memory expansion card as well.
