I'm trying to sync my mpc with cubase using my m-audio midisport 2x2. In cubase i start out by going Devices>Device Setup>Default Midi Ports and choose In-A USB Midisport 2x2 for Midi Input and Out-A USB Midisport 2x2 for the output. Then i got to Sync Setup and check Out-A USB Midisport 2x2 for Midi Clock Destinations. Then on the mpc i got to midi/sync have it be Sync in:1 (Slave). Then mode is Midi Clock and Receive MMC is on. Is there anything else i need to do to get this to work? nothing has worked so far

I can't get my 2500 to sync to Cubase or ProTools. Its the worst thing in the world. I tried with a MV8000 and couldn't get either DAW to sync properly. Its a nightmare and the companies making both the DAW and the MPC deny the problem. I'm trying hard to get it right, and will share if i get it. Hope you'll do the same kid. One.

everything sounds right to me...

MIDI SPORT OUT 1 > MPC IN 1

turn transmit sync on in daw... select midi clock
turn sync on in mpc... sync in:1

when you hit play on cubase it should send the midi clock and it should go... it works like this on digital performer...

im running os 1.1

so is it safe to say that this is a sync issue with 1.22?

Can you try going back to 1.1? This would isolate your problem and maybe resolve it as well. I refuse to upgrade to the new OS until sync is fixed. You can try syncing your DAW to your MPC as well. For fun, make the MPC the master so when you play on the MPC the DAW will satrt. See what happens.
