reading folders and contents

how many folders deep will the mpc read?

ideally i would probably structure my hard disk as

artist A
-song one
--sample 1
--sample 2
-song two
--sample 1
--sample 2

etc etc

or will it have to be structured as

song one
-sample 1
-sample 2

etc


?

If your talking about the first way being all different folders it should work fine. I'm not sure i understand where your coming from though.

well my worry came from experience with my mp3 player because it will read the loose files in the root folder and then any other mp3s in other folders. but if there is a folder within a folder, that will be overlooked by the mp3 player

i thought that we never used nested folders on the 2500?
