Multi Tracking OS1.22 - Cubase

Ok, I installed that JJ OS, removed it cause of not enough MIDI ports. Whacked 1.22 back on it and tried out the MTC sync. (presume because I've just installed this OS all the defaults are set)

Hardware is 2500 MIDI CH "C" -> Phase22 sound card , MIDI In.

Sending on MIDI port C, MTC, MMC enabled. Cubase detects 25 Frames.

So I go in to Song Mode. Stick a couple of blank frames in the beginning AND at the end. (Helps form better loops).

You should have opened Cubase and should have a track armed and ready to record.

Track Mute all but the first track, back to Song Mode, press play. Then go through the remaining tracks via Track Mute and record them. Indiviually or multi if you have enough sound card inputs.

Now when I used to go through this procedure, all the clips would be out of line and of course go out of sync. But now it seems to be working.

Seeing as Ive never managed to get this working, I just wondered if this is the MTC sync issue that peps go about on this forum?

But either way, I have never used this method before and can highly recommend it. You have so much control over the clips and if you have FX VST's installed it's bonkers.

Just thought I'd share - I'm sure you are all doing this already, but there you go.

The MTC problem is that it doesn't work.
When the MPC receives incoming MTC it doesn't automatically start as it should.
People suggest that you push start on the MPC first and make it wait for the MTC which you shouldn't have to do.
Even if you do make the MPC wait for the incoming MTC when the Master unit sends the STOP message the MPC will keep going and not stop.
