about the corruption, doing a save all content to a new folder is the workaround i use, instead of overwriting.
i still think that the idea that one should reformat everytime one updates sucks, but its not that bad...i think MTC being broken for so long is much worse.

You do know that you sound like a broken record. And me, repeating the same thing to you makes me sound just as bad. Why do I even bother?
The best way to save as you finally have figured out, is something we have talked about more than 1 year ago here in the forums. I haven't overwritten anything until recently, just to see if I can produce a bug. No luck. I can overwrite files and have no file corruption. However, I will continue to create new folders and delete old folders because I feel more confident that way.
As far as re-formatting the hard drive, both Akai and JJ recommends this. I have used the hard drive without formatting it without problems. But since I spend alot of time trouble shooting OS (as of late) I have reformatted my drive each time I switch back and forth between operating systems.
MTC works with the JJ OS? So use it. Overwriting files on the JJ OS works? So use it. Complaining about reformatting the hard drive? Wow. Its not like you have to do that very often..because Akai doesn't put out that many updates in a short time period. And since you are using the JJ OS which you claim is pretty solid, there is no reason for you to switch back to the Akai OS
So what's your point?
