If I record say a pan using one of the Q-link slider and I end up not liking it, how do I delete it?

When the sequencer is stopped press the erase key. The erase window will pop up. Highlight the field next to "Erase". Spin the data wheel until it says "EXCEPT" or "Except notes". I'm not sure what it says because I actually never have done it before. I was curious as it seems like something I'd want to do at some point in time.
