I have a 2K, and im thinking of getting a 2500 (wish me luck), and i have a questions about file transfer...

When im done with a beat, i can burn it on a CD (if i have the Drive) or i can connect usb and send teh beat to my PC right???

i mean thats the whole point of the usb being there, sending Wav, MP3 betwen the MPC and PC???

you are correct about the wav, not mp3.

you can internally record from the main outs. that means you can go into record mode, select the main outs as the input, hit record, and then press play on your sequence to "sample" your beat. that will make it so that your mixed beat is in a wav file. you can then burn it to cd as an audio track, not wav, but a cd audio track that can be played in a cd player.

you can also save the mixed beat as a wav file to either internal hard drive or compact flash, and connect the mpc up to your pc. the pc will recognize the mpc as an external hard drive, and on your pc, you can locate the wav file on whichever mpc drive you saved the beat to, and just drag and drop.
