error when updating to 1.22 OS

I went to the site got the bin file.. and followed the instructions for updating the OS... anyways im getting a WRONG CARD!! error when i restart my mpc while holding the WINDOW button.. anyone know whats wrong?? my cf card is working fine so i know thats not the problem.

are you using the original card that came with the 2500? i had that problem when i tried updating with my 512mb.

Same here....when I used a large CF card I had issues. WHen I use a smaller card..64 MB or less (both Akai or a 3rd party card) I never had any issues...

ive always jus used the original compact flash that i got wid the unit and ive had no probs here

Thanks fellas. I used the orginal card that came with the 2500 and I was able to update the os. I had tried to upgrade the os with a 512mb card and got the error. You guys are life savers. Thanks again.

hi this is the reason i joined the forum to over come this issue i simply manually booted the os via load screen. the first time it froze at 98% so i switch it off. it appeared to work fine but re did it to be certain and second time round was 100%
