Post your views and questions about the Akai MPC2500

So basically im stuck with a dell inspiration e1505laptop which has problems with firewire.. so i cant use any firewire audio interfaces. I have a budget of only around $250 and i need something to send audio from my laptop to my mpc and track from the mpc to the laptop... what do u guys suggest? i was just wondering if there was a workaround the firewire problem. Thanks

Hi, rxghost !!!!

Probably you laptop doesn´t like FW-Interfaces because it has implemented
the wrong Firewire controller chipset.
If you want to use a FW-Interface, you should get yourself a PCMCIA card
with FW-Ports and the right chipset, which is the one from Texas Instruments.
With this one, almost every FW Interface should work fine....

Another alterternative is to use USB Audio interfaces, either USB 2.0 or
USB 1.01. I recommend the Tascam US 122L.
